Exhibiting in a neater and more distinct manner not only all the New Buildings to this Year but also a considerable number of Streets Lanes & Alleys Churches Inns of Court Halls Hospitals &c. more than any Map hitherto published. Whereunto are added Rates of Hackney Coachmen and Watermen with several other useful Embelishments.

The plan is dedicated by George Forster to John Barnard the Lord Mayor of London, and the MPs for London. To the left of the dedication are the arms of the 12 Great Livery Companies. Many of the most important public buildings are shown in elevation, such as Buckingham Palace, St James's Palace, and St Paul's. The Liberties of the City of London are marked by stippling, whilst those of Southwark and Westminster by hatchures. Westminster Bri...
