The site, which still thrives today, boasts a history of adult entertainment stretching back to 1914. Originally a Hollywood bar named 'Cabaret Pompeya', it became the Bagdad nightclub in 1949. It soon promoted itself as the 'Palacial Oriental' and 'Jardins Bagdad', with oriental decoration and sensual costumes.
The present example is a leaflet boasting Bagdad's licentious delight...
