James Kinlock Walker is listed as an upholsterer in the London Post Office Directory of 1843, at which time he was active at his premises on Drury Lane. He had been at this address for several years, as in 1837 the voters roll from the East Sussex Election, he was listed as resident there, despite being a registered voter in Brighton. At the shop, which also served as manufactory and warehouse, customers could acquire a range of domestic furniture from cabinets to beds, as ...
