The 1839 edition of Greenwood's map of London is dedicated to Queen Victoria, who had been crowned the previous year, and has been updated to show some recent features, such as the Great Western Railway to Paddington, the London & Birmingham Railway to Euston, the Eastern Counties Railway to Bishopsgate, the Blackwall Railway to Fenchurch Street, and the London & Southampton Railway to Nine Elms.
