Notes
The Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal, the wide street to the back of the Koninklijk Paleis was until the late nineteenth century a canal. A key below the view lists six prominent landmarks, these include the flower market, the pipe market, Nieuwe Kerk tower, and the Koninklijk Paleis.
