Notes

Detailed map of New South Wales and its mineral deposits.

The key lists gold, copper, diamonds, silver, iron, tin, coal, and kerosene shale. To the upper left is a list of proclaimed gold fields, and to the lower right a key to the roads, railways, telegraphs, and district boundaries. To the verso of the map is a large amount of information on New South Wales in 1874 and 1875; this includes details of population size, imports and exports, infrastructure, farming, and mineral deposits. There is also a short list of the advantages of New South Wales to the emigrant: from the easy availability of work, and cheap cost of living, to the climate, and the light traffic.
