A map of Spain, from the 1676 edition of the first atlas compiled and published by an Englishman, Speed's 'Prospect'. A decorative border along the top illustrates views of major cities, including Granada and Barcelona, and, along each side, there are depictions of figures in regional costume. The Balearics appear marked as the 'Pyne Ilands'.

Accompanying text in English, 'The Description of Spain', is printed on the reverse.
