New gallery for Daniel Crouch Rare Books opens in New York

Daniel Crouch Rare Books have confirmed plans to open a branch of their London-based dealership in January 2017.

Daniel Crouch exhibit regularly at fairs in the US but this is their first international branch. The new shop, located on East 64th Street, will help them to target an American market at a time when US visitors seem increasingly unwilling to travel.

“We are delighted to expand our business further into the US market,” said Daniel Crouch, partner in the business with Nick Trimming. “With premises in both London and New York we are better able to find wonderful items for collectors on both sides of the Atlantic.”

Noah Goldrach, who joined the company earlier this year, will manage the New York gallery. Trimming described him as “knowledgeable, young, enthusiastic and well known in New York” with “impressive experience in both the auction and dealing sectors”.

The launch is set for January 25, following Daniel Crouch’s appearance at the inaugural TEFAF New York in October and coinciding with the city’s Winter Antiques Show and Bibliography Week.

Crouch added: “We prefer to think of ourselves less as ‘Brexiles’ and more as Englishmen in New York.”
