Rare cadastral map of the City of Adelaide and surrounding metropolitan area within a radius of eight miles. Includes municipal council districts names and boundaries, section numbers and main roads, railways, rivers and creeks; relief shown by hachures; and parklands shown pictorially. To the left of the map is an extension of map from the southern boundary of the Hundred of Port, showing LeFevre's Peninsula.
The map can be dated to around 1861 by an advertisement in the 'Adelaide Advertiser', on Thursday 11 April, 1861, ?p.3 "Ready for delivery, Green & Wadham's new map of Adelaide and suburbs. Platts, Hindley street."
Scale: 2 inches to 1 statute mile.
